Results that look like you — just refreshed
Neurotoxins work by temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles to soften active lines and prevent new ones from deepening. The key word is targeted. Done well, treatment preserves natural movement and expression. Done poorly, it looks frozen, heavy, or off.
At Optimize by JaeNix, every treatment starts with an anatomy-based assessment. We look at your muscle activity, facial structure, and goals before placing a single unit. The result should look like a well-rested version of you — not like you had something done.
All five neurotoxin brands we carry are FDA-approved. Each has distinct characteristics in terms of onset, diffusion, and duration, which allows us to match the right product to your treatment area and goals rather than using a one-size approach.
What Neurotoxins Do
Neurotoxins temporarily block nerve signals to targeted muscles, reducing muscle contraction and softening the lines created by repeated facial movement — forehead lines, crow's feet, frown lines, and more.
Most patients see visible results within 3 to 7 days, with full effect at 2 weeks. Results typically last 3 to 4 months, with Daxxify often lasting up to 6 months.
Who Performs Your Treatment
All neurotoxin treatments are performed by Jessica Boggs, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, ENP-C — a double board-certified Nurse Practitioner. You are not being seen by an aesthetician or a supervised trainee.
Five FDA-approved options, one provider who knows all of them
Each neurotoxin has distinct characteristics. We match the right product to your treatment area and goals rather than defaulting to one brand for everyone.
The longest-lasting FDA-approved neurotoxin, with results that often extend to 6 months. Peptide-based formulation with no human albumin. Great for patients who want to reduce the frequency of their appointments.
Longest DurationFast onset — often visible in 1 to 2 days. Has a slightly wider diffusion pattern which makes it well suited for larger areas like the forehead. Unit conversion differs from Botox.
Fast OnsetA newer FDA-approved neurotoxin with a consistent, precise spread pattern. Well suited for patients looking for reliable, natural-looking results with standard duration.
A purified neurotoxin with no accessory proteins, which may reduce the chance of antibody development over time. A good option for patients who have noticed reduced efficacy with other products.
Naked ToxinMade specifically for aesthetic use using a modern manufacturing process. Similar in performance to onabotulinumtoxinA with a consistent, predictable result profile.
Units needed vary by treatment area, muscle strength, and individual goals. Your provider will discuss unit estimates at your appointment.
Where neurotoxins can be placed
Treatment is always anatomy-based and customized. Not every area is appropriate for every patient — your provider will assess your facial structure and muscle activity before recommending placement.
Horizontal lines across the forehead caused by repeated brow elevation. Treatment relaxes the frontalis muscle to soften lines while preserving natural brow movement and preventing brow heaviness.
The vertical lines between the brows that create a tense or angry appearance even at rest. One of the most requested treatment areas and very well-suited for neurotoxin therapy.
The fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes that appear with smiling and squinting. Treatment softens these lines while maintaining natural eye movement and expression.
Diagonal creases on either side of the nose that appear when smiling or scrunching. Often treated alongside glabellar lines for a more complete upper-face result.
A small amount of neurotoxin placed just above the upper lip to relax the muscle and create the appearance of a slightly fuller, more defined upper lip without filler.
Chin dimpling, cobblestone texture, and chin wrinkles caused by overactive mentalis muscle activity. Treatment creates a smoother, more refined lower face appearance.
Relaxes the masseter muscles to slim a wide or square jaw, improve facial proportion, and address teeth grinding (bruxism) and jaw tension. Results develop over 4 to 6 weeks as the muscle gradually reduces in size.
Visible vertical bands or horizontal lines on the neck can be softened with neurotoxin to create a smoother, more elegant neckline. Often referred to as the Nefertiti lift when combined with the jawline.
Neurotoxin placed in the upper trapezius muscle relieves chronic neck and shoulder tension and can slim the shoulder-to-neck transition for a more elongated appearance. Popular with both functional and aesthetic goals.

What to expect at your appointment
Your provider assesses your facial anatomy, muscle activity, skin quality, and goals before any product is chosen or placed. Treatment is never templated — it starts with your face.
Based on your assessment, treatment areas, and goals, your provider recommends the most appropriate neurotoxin. You will understand what is being used and why before treatment begins.
Most treatment sessions take 10 to 20 minutes. A fine needle is used for each injection point. Discomfort is minimal. No downtime — you can return to normal activities immediately.
Results begin appearing within 3 to 7 days and are fully visible at 2 weeks. A complimentary touch-up may be scheduled at 2 weeks if any areas need adjustment. Effects last 3 to 6 months depending on product.
